Our friend Andrio Abero, aka 33rpm, has revamped his homepage. We love Andrio! He’s got crazy design/illustration/dj skills. And since he’s moved to NYC we miss him – lots – especially here at Studio Six in Seattle where we used to share our work space. But we’re happy he’s doing well, working out of 3rd Ward in Williamsburg and keeping really busy. Check it!

I recently came across a cool T-shirt based blog, Tshirt Island, where I found A Priceless Way the subject of a discussion about T-shirt designs varying from one line to the next. Comparisons are made between our word friendly Series 1 – Modern Engrish Tees and our Series 2 – Monsters tees. There is a teeny oversight on the grammar of our “Use my talents to makes you rich” tee (who can blame someone for using correct English?) but it’s still so rad nonetheless! Props to RRANGA for the thoughtful editorial!
edit: Rranga is actually Rangga when spelled correctly. Touche, Rangga, we’re evens now!

For the past 3 days I’ve been making the transition from the road life back to studio life. On May 10th, my band Velella Velella took a quick jaunt down the West coast and back with our bestest-friends-forever Point Juncture, WA
- who are actually from Portland, OR. It was sunny an warm the whole time out, and in proper form Seattle has been peeing rain since I’ve been back – I can’t wait for summer time bike rides to the water…
Between the eight shows in ten days of PJWA blowing my mind, sweating it out with my mates on stage, and hours of sitting on my tuchus in our ingenious momma-loaned minivan, I was having an effing jolly time. Highlights include: 1) having a de-closeted flower child moment at a former hippie commune in San Luis Obispo, CA; 2) sharing the LA tradition of Orochon spicy ramen; and 3) nestling in the rocks of Santa Claus beach while being pleasantly startled by the whistling of passing trains.
